The Brahuis are believed to have originated from Aleppo (Northern Syria) and migrated around 2000 BC to Balochistan and also claims that they are Generation of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham),although their language is believed to be a remnant of Dravidian languages spoken in South India by some researchers and still other scholars believe Elamite may be related to the Brahui language.
Mesopotamian region map

Actually In my research, I found that pure Brahui has also strong connections with Semitic languages such as Arabic and Hebrew in the mesopotamia out of the Indian subcontinent and also with Eastern South Semitic languages in Yemen and Oman like shehri Mehri and soqoti languages, etc.I have compared some Semitic languages with Brahui and found striking similarities between these languages.Here are some pure Brahui words to give the feel of how the Brahui language is related to Semitic languages or mesopotamian region. Above words have not borrowed directly into brahui as urdu or persian.The relation between Arabic and Brahui is 2000_16oo BC .However there are also some Arabic loanwords in Brahui but most of them are borrowed from Indo-Iranian languages and used identical in the Brahui and other languages. (e.g.,see below)

Origin of the words in Brahui vocabulary
Indo-Iranian: 3000_4000 words are Indo-Iranian mainly Balochi.
Dravidian: 10_20 only in Brahui and 50_100 words of Dravidian found both in the Brahui and some other Indo-Iranian language in the region.
Semitic: 600_800 Semitic words are Brahui origin and also 300_400 borrowed from Indo-Iranian languages.
Some Brahui and Arabic sentence:

| Brahui: | thesottha |
| Arabic: | athaitho |
| English: | i gave him |
| Brahui: | ethkane |
| Arabic: | athni |

| Brahui: | ethbonane |

| Arabic: | honak masool |
| English: | that is the manager |
| Brahui: | arangos? |
| Arabic: | wainak? |
| English: | where are you? |
Besides its structure is more Semitic then also similar to dravidian , Indo-Iranian and Turkic etc.
for example…….
| positive form |
| Brahui: he khoahwa |
| Shehri: he aak |
| English:i want |
| in negative form |
| Brahui: he khoah para |
| Shehri: he aak lo |
| English: i dont want |
The Brahui numerals are Indo-European origin but separate numerals one-two-three similars between the Semitic and Dravidian.
for example……
Arabic=====Brahui ==Amharic==Dravidian==English
wahed/ahad > aset <<<Ahndt<<<<ondru==== one
esnan >>>> > erat <<<< Hulat<<iranduh=== two
salas >>>> >> moset <<Sohst<< muundruh== three
It is possible that the Brahui language is influenced 70% by indo-iranian languages and very few like Dravidian(that are not already a part of Brahui), but while the remainder enough to prove a relationship with Semitic.
